Taylor Read is the Founder and President of Read Gov Con, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Draper, Utah. With over 15 years of proven leadership in military engineering operations, real estate development, and business management, Taylor delivers mission-focused solutions across project execution, financial analysis, facilities development, and infrastructure support.

Taylor holds a Master of Real Estate Development, an Urban Planning Certificate, and an Executive MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. His real estate experience includes underwriting 28 development opportunities ranging from $5M to $50M as Utah Market Manager for a real estate private equity firm, where he closed a $44M multifamily transaction and raised over $3M in equity from individual investors. He brings deep expertise in development pro formas, DCF analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and capital structuring across multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial asset classes.

A veteran of the U.S. Army's 555th Engineer Brigade ("Triple Nickel"), Taylor served as a Geospatial Engineer and Chief of Staff, coordinating civil, construction, and combat engineering operations across multiple agencies during deployment to Afghanistan. He held a Top Secret SCI security clearance and managed assets valued at over $10M.

Beyond his military and real estate work, Taylor founded and operated a multi-location business in Salt Lake County for over a decade, managing full P&L, leading a team of employees, and building lasting relationships across hundreds of corporations and small businesses throughout the Wasatch Front. He combines high-stakes operational experience with substantive financial and real estate expertise to help federal agencies, financial institutions, and private sector clients achieve results on time and on budget.
